Scott Thomson was granted a testimonial by Dunfermline Athletic, in recognition of his outstanding service to the club. This ran from 1st June 2007 to 31st May 2008. After an almost unheard of 11 years continuous service with the club in the modern day game, Scott left Dunfermline in May 2009 when he played a further season for East Fife.

With the match now sold out fans are advised that those unlucky enough not to be at East End Park to see Dunfermline play Manchester United, will be able to watch the game live on MUTV and on www.internetfootball.co.uk
